Fussy baby? Try wrapping your newborn in Aden + Anais organic and bamboo swaddlers. Moms worldwide have practiced this technique which can help calm your baby, keep her warm until her internal temperature kicks in, help her sleep better, and remind her of the warmness and tightness of the womb. The organic collection is made of muslin grown and manufactured in an environmentally and socially responsible manner and the bamboo line ($40/3) is made of silky bamboo fiber muslin that is super soft. Pick from fashionable prints like pyara, diwali, mela, enchanted, bloom, star struck, safari, oasis, blue sky, and snuggle bug. Plus, there is nothing cuter than seeing your tiny babe all wrapped up.

They are adorable enough for babies to tots and can even grace your home, not just the nursery, when baby is old enough. The pillows come in cool shades like coral, navy, yellow, brown, and ice blue … no over-the-top pastels here. Pick from a cat, elephant, fox, or panda in a cushy pillow or wood block print. These Tiny Bird Organics Teethers ($10.95) are stylish enough (and big enough) to double as bracelets. So next time you and your baby hit the town, layer on these teethers (aka bangles) and when your baby gets fussy, give it a quick wipe down and let him/her gum it to ease their aching mouths. The teethers are made from maple and finished with beeswax for a smooth look and feel. There is also an unfinished wood teether, natural wood rattle baby toy, and a natural wood rattle teething toy.

While you’re nibbling on yummy pumpkin seeds, whip up some autumn-inspired food for your little one, too. Starting at 6 months, babies can eat “yellow” veggies, which includes sweet potatoes, squash, and pumpkins. These veggies are high in potassium and vitamins A and C and tasty to boot. With the help of Brooke Griffin from the Art of Comfort Baking and Cooking for Baby, Too, we whipped up this healthy treat for our babes.

Organic Pumpkin Baby Food

Small organic pumpkin

Breast milk or baby formula (your brand)

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Wash and scrub the pumpkin. Cut the pumpkin in half and remove the seeds and guts. Slice into quarters and place on a baking sheet, skin side down. Roast until tender when pierced with a knife, about 45-60 minutes. Cool. Scoop out the pumpkin and puree in a food processor until smooth. Add breast milk or formula to the consistency your baby can handle. The puree will stay in the fridge for 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Hey preggo mama. Does the thought of chem-laden deodorant make you break out in a sweat? Calm down and stay cool with Jason-Organic Apricot Deodorant. Did you know that a pregnant woman’s core body temp rises and blood pressure rises too during those 9 months? Luckily, this sweat buster is made minus aluminum chlorohydrate … a neurotoxin that alters the function of the blood-brain barrier and is linked to Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. There is also apricot oil (for a yummy scent), vitamin E and shea butter (to moisturize), and certified organic corn starch (to keep you dry). It’s gentle, safe, and delivers long-lasting protection … for real. Best of all, Jason’s delivers all the protection minus those messy white marks that traditional deodorant sticks leave behind. It’s great for post- and pre-pregnancy and for non-mamas too.
