PVC stands for an acronym for Polyvinyl chloride, which is a plastic that contains chlorine. These plastics are often combined with lead and cadium as a stabilizer which creates high levels of toxicity. Halting your child’s exposure to PVC will help keep their minds and bodies sharp and focused.

Who says a baby on the way calls for a new wardrobe? Improvise and impress by creating your own maternity clothes … without having to drop a penny. Follow these four simple DIY instructions from Craftster for a super easy, made-by-you, just-for-you, maternity skirt.
What you need:
- Any style pre-pregnancy skirt
- Matching color t-shirt
- Scissors
- Loose stitch pins
1. Cut out half a circle starting from one end of the skirt to the other … where your growing belly is going.
2. Take the piece of cloth from the skirt that you just cut out and line it up with the bottom hem of the t-shirt (flat end to flat end) and cut around it leaving about an inch extra all around. Make sure to only cut one side of the shirt incase you make a mess of your first piece and need more.
3. Now pin your t-shirt panel to the skirt ensuring that your t-shirt hem (the bottom of the tee) and waistband line up evenly.
4. Lastly, sew a straight topstitch to secure the t-shirt panel to the skirt or you can use a sewing machine.
Voila! A brand new bundle of joy to your wardrobe! This skirt allows you to release the fashionista within all while giving your belly some breathing room. Put those old clothes that you haven’t worn in forever to use and customize them into something new again.
