Just like our planet, our babies need a little loving from mama nature, too. Put your hands together for two celeb moms living the green life for their kids. Singer Olivia Newton-John and actress Kelly Preston (wife of John Travolta) are devoted to environmental issues affecting children and are stern advocates for living organically. The two power women got together to host an educational video, Not Under My Roof: Protecting Your Baby From Toxins at Home, for the Children’s Health Environmental Commission. Preston explains “Since babies spend a lot of time on the floor, there are all sorts of things that they breathe that we don’t. See the world the way your baby does. This is your baby’s crawl zone. They breathe four inches from the ground.” Newton-John, a breast cancer survivor, became a determined supporter for children’s cancer research and prevention after her 5-year-old goddaughter, Collette Chuda, died of cancer. Newton-John is convinced the cancer resulted from exposure to environmental pollutants during pregnancy. Take a cue from these mamas and baby proof your home the eco way.
