Pedal Power: Eco Gyms

Gym rat? Did you know that all that equipment you’re sweating on releases loads of CO2 emissions? What if you could get your exercise groove on and help reduce your carbon footprint, too? Pretty soon, your local gym could be your biggest green asset. All over the nation, health clubs have opted to become a darker shade on the green spectrum. Clubs such as Equinox and Club One have floors made of recycled tires and use biodegradable cleaning products. Also, newly built Go Green Fitness offers perhaps the most unique way to contribute – their 25 stationary bicycles connect directly to a power grid to energize the place. So you better work it, girl!
