Bag of Tricks: Win a Feed 100 Reusable Tote

Want to do something magical with your grocery bag? Pick up the Feed 100 stylish reusable shopping bag. For every one bought, a portion of the proceeds go to providing 100 meals to hungry Rwandan school children. The bag is made of organic cotton and natural burlap and produced with a commitment to fair treatment of workers, wages, and clean working environments.  It’s a lightweight white tote that collapses easily into its base, which is a zippered rectangular burlap pouch emblazoned with Feed 100. It has endless uses like grocery shopping, toting laundry, or as a purse … you could even pull a rabbit out of it.

Giveaway: Greenista Girl Neha is excited that she is giving away a reusable Feed 100 bag ($25) — you can’t even get them online! This one was hand given to us by Lauren Bush herself — Neha and her both grew up in the same town.

To enter you must do 3 things: Tell us what you use your reusable tote for in the comment section below and post on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Greenista Girls will announce 1 lucky winner.

Plastic bags carry 90% of the nation's groceries, up from 5% in 1982. But for every ton of plastic bags that is reused or recycled, it saves the energy equivalent of 11 barrels of oil. So go reusable or recycle!

I use my reusable tote to do groceries and fill it with goodies for a day at the beach!

  2. Cee says:

I always keep a supply of reusuable totes on hand, whether it’s to grab groceries, library books, or organize odds and ends in the garage, laundry room or kids’ playroom.

  3. Bonnie Rose says:

I will use my Feed 100 Reusable Tote for anything required for me to bring things with me…why limit what it could be used for. Groceries, carrying my props to and from shoots, on my way to the beach, and to carry stuff for my kids as they come with me on my busy days of getting everything done. A perfect conversational starter to meet new people and hopefully in turn get them to think what they could use a reusable bag for to help our environment!

  4. Gina Gebauer says:

I use mine for groceries as well as having the kids carry their toys for car trips.

  5. Marlee says:

I use my reusable bags for absolutely everything I would have used plastic bags for in the past.

  6. Eleonora says:

I use it for everything; particularly it’s strong enough to carry books (I’m moving and it’s doing a great job!!) and easy to carry (not so heavy I mean)

  7. Dionne says:

I love my reusable bags. I keep them in the trunk to make sure if I have a wholefood shopping trip I am guaranteed my wooden nickles to donate to green friendly organizations. I also use them for my trips to Walmart and Target. Of course they are great for carrying all the things needed for a summer picnic and beach outing..I could go on and on…but will end it here!

  8. Tina says:

I use my reusable bags everyday. I keep two in my daily travel bag just in case I need to stop at the store during my daily travels; I use one to keep my dogs’ treats in so they aren’t scattered everywhere; I use one as my indoor recycle container and once full, I take it and empty it into the shared outdoor container; and finally, I use them when traveling by car for short weekend trips to haul the dogs’ food, treats, toys, water & food dishes, and one holds my clothing as well!

  9. Leslie Ford says:

I use my reusable bags for groceries, and all kinds of shopping; for carting things to the beach, picnics etc. and for sorting. There is a supply in the house and the car, so they are always ready!
