It’s Autism Awareness Month

Ready for a change of pace? Although April is almost over, there is still time to get moving and involved with Autism Awareness Month. One in every 110 children in America has autism — and many people link the causes to environmental chemicals and toxins as well as vaccines.  Jenny McCarthy, the face of Autism in the US, has a website called Generation Rescue that educates and supports families with Autistic children.  But Jenny doesn’t stop the fight there, and continues to raise awareness with her book, Mother Warriors.

Autism is a controversial topic at this time — there are many believers and non-believers out there on the topic, many on both sides of the fence when it comes to vaccines and their involvement in children being on the autism spectrum. According to Generation Rescue, autism is preventable and reversible.  Back in day, Jenny McCarthy spearheaded a march on Washington to demand the greening of our vaccines.  We at Greenista believe in making everything we can more green, more natural, better for our homes, our bodies, and our world.  Keep the energy of awareness up by seeing how you can help at Generation Rescue.

Greenista Cocktail Factoid: 1 to 1.5 million Americans live with an autism spectrum disorder and it’s the fastest-growing developmental disability with a 1,148% growth rate. Read more about Autism.
